Scotland’s conversion practices consultation

The Expert Advisory Group (EAG) on Ending Conversion Practices’ defined conversion practices as “any treatment, practice or effort that aims to change, suppress and/or eliminate a person’s sexual orientation, gender identity and/or gender expression”. The full consultation paper can be found here.

We have written as to why we think this isn’t a welcome legislation for Scotland. We have had Richard on previously to discuss sex education in Scotland.

Richard Lucas is the Leader of the Scottish Family Party, a socially conservative political party seeking representation in the Scottish Parliament.

His previous career was in education, teaching in two boarding schools and serving as a housemaster for 8 years.

Richard has two sons with his wife Mairi in Edinburgh. In his down time, he enjoys philosophy and theology, motor racing (spectating), reading and the great outdoors.
