Introducing Family Healing Sessions (FHS): A Transformative Approach to Restoring Connection

Rooted in the pioneering work of Dr. Martha Welch, Family Healing Sessions (FHS) offer a powerful protocol for resolving deep emotional wounds within families. First experienced in 1995, this method has since been refined over 25 years by seasoned practitioners, blending therapeutic insight with relational warmth. FHS helps families release years of pain, rebuild trust, and foster lasting emotional bonds—often described by parents as more impactful than years of traditional therapy.

This webinar, led by PATH-certified therapist and coach Phillip David Schanker will introduce the FHS model and summarize the process, methods, and possibilities of the FHS, as well as some of the therapeutic tools employed. After more than 40 years in ministry and interreligious dialogue and peace-making in North America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East, Phillip has spent the last decade as an individual, couple and family therapist. Training and certification in the FHS Protocol is available on the PATH website.
